Campus Accessibility, Parking & Emergency Evacuation
Campus Accessibility
The Access Guide for Persons with Disabilities provides detailed maps which describe access to Seattle campus facilities. If you are a member of the campus community - employee, faculty or student - you may request a copy of this publication (approximately 300 pages) by contacting the Disability Services Office at dso@u.washington.edu or at 206-543-6450 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Parking
Employees may request disabled parking or alternative transportation (Dial-A-Ride shuttle van) by using the Accommodation Request For Disability or Serious Medical Condition and Health Care Provider Statement forms.
Members of the public should view information about parking for persons with disabilities.
Emergency Evacuation for Persons with Disabilities
Emergency Evacuation for Persons with Disabilities provides a general guideline of evacuation procedures for fire and other building emergencies. Faculty, staff, students and visitors must develop their own evacuation plans and identify their primary and secondary evacuation routes from each building they use.
UW Alert
The University of Washington (UW) has developed UW Alert to disseminate official information during emergencies or crisis situations that may disrupt the normal operation of the UW or threaten the health or safety of members of the UW community.
UW Alert is offered on a voluntary self-subscription basis for current UW faculty, staff, and students at UW Bothell, UW Seattle, UW Tacoma, and UW Medicine.
See the UW Alert website for more information and signup instructions.
